Program Overview


The Obstetrics 2nd & 3rd Trimester POCUS Certification Program is a focused, structured training pathway designed to help healthcare professionals confidently perform point-of-care ultrasound for obstetrics in the 2nd & 3rd trimester.


Participants progress through an interactive online curriculum, building essential knowledge while preparing for the Obstetrics - 2nd & 3rd Trimester POCUS Certification.


This program is appropriate for both beginners and clinicians seeking structured preparation for certification.

Assigned Modules:

  • Fundamentals of Ultrasound
  • OB 2nd/3rd Trimester Part 1
  • OB 2nd/3rd Trimester Part 2
  • OB Six-Step Protocol


No prior ultrasound experience is required. Participants begin with ultrasound fundamentals before progressing into focused modules.


The program is designed to build confidence step-by-step, allowing learners to apply knowledge directly into clinical practice while progressing toward certification readiness.


Certification Voucher


This program includes a POCUS Certification Exam Voucher for Obstetrics - 2nd & 3rd Trimester (a $275 value).


POCUS Certification Eligibility Requirements:

  • Active licensure in a relevant healthcare profession
  • Active clinical practice in an appropriate setting
  • Documentation and attestation of required POCUS case experience within the previous two years


Required case experience:

  • 25 OB 2nd/3rd Trimester POCUS cases


Optional


Participants may add Virtual Scanning Access for a simulated scanning experience using real patient cases with the SonoSimulator. This component allows learners to practice probe movement, anatomy recognition, and pathology identification in a simulated clinical environment. This is not required.


Virtual Scanning Access must be added separately to access simulated scanning cases.
